- The exam typically takes 45 to 60 minutes and no test preparation is needed.
- The exam is performed with the patient in a reverse Tredelenberg or a standing position.
- Patients should wear loose fitting cloths, that allows access to the legs.
- A water based ultrasonic gel is applied to the skin and the Technologist will use an Ultrasound Transducer to acquire images.
